Buying a new commercial vehicle means your truck is built to your spec, from wheelbase and payload rating to the body that goes on it. Start with a bare chassis and add a service body, contractor body, flatbed, or dry freight body, or outfit a cargo van with shelving and ladder racks before it leaves our lot. You also get full factory warranty coverage, current safety and telematics technology, and access to manufacturer commercial incentives for qualifying businesses.
For delivery routes, a cargo van or dry freight body is usually the right fit. Trade and repair crews get more done with a service or mechanics body, while landscaping and construction crews often choose a contractor body. For heavy equipment or trailers, a flatbed or gooseneck setup does more per trip. Our fleet team can walk through the right spec before you commit.
Not every fleet addition needs to be new. Pre-owned commercial vehicles lower your upfront cost. Because they're already on the lot, they can often be working the same week, without the wait that can come with factory orders and custom upfits.
Our pre-owned inventory pulls from all five Tonkin Fleet locations. It includes used Ford, Chevrolet, and Ram cargo vans, pickups, service body trucks, flatbeds, and box trucks. Some units arrive with upfits already in place, such as shelving, ladder racks, or lockable service bodies. Every vehicle is extensively inspected before it's listed.

Buying one truck and buying a fleet call for different financing tools, and we structure ours around the second. Our commercial line of credit can support up to $250,000 in vehicle financing, backed by partners including Ally, Ford, GM Financial, and Stellantis, with individual financing available if you're adding trucks incrementally.
For businesses that prefer to lease, we offer three structures: a Commercial VIP Lease for lighter use, a Standard Commercial Lease with no mileage restrictions, and financing by installments for full ownership, across new, pre-owned, and gas, diesel, bi-fuel, or EV powertrains.
Fleet purchases may also qualify for Section 179 tax deductions, letting a business deduct a significant portion of a qualifying vehicle's cost in the year it's put into service.
